Relax and reenergize by spending the day on one of the many local beaches that line the beautiful pacific coast. The Ojochal-Uvita area is known for having some of the most beautiful and unusual beaches in Costa Rica including Playa Ventanas, a secluded sandy beach that forms a bay w/ caves that you can swim through during low tide; and Playa Uvita, a sandbar you can hike to that takes the shape of a whale’s tail that forms a beach during low tide.

Waterfalls

Experience local waterfalls the “Cascadas” nearby.  Just minutes away, the Ojochal Waterfall is owned by a wonderful family who will invite you into their home. Take a leisurely walk through a butterfly farm on your way to slide down the Uvita Waterfall. If you are more adventurous, plan a hike or horseback tour of the elaborate Nauyaca Waterfalls, one of the top 5 waterfalls in the country.
