Beaches

Relax and reenergize by spending the day on one of the many local beaches that line the beautiful pacific coast. The Ojochal-Uvita area is known for having some of the most beautiful and unusual beaches in Costa Rica including Playa Ventanas, a secluded sandy beach that forms a bay w/ caves that you can swim through during low tide. Playa Uvita is home to the famous "Whale Tail"  a sandbar you can hike to that takes the shape of a whale’s tail that forms a beach during low tide. Playa Chaman is great for surfing beginners while Playa Hermosa and Dominical have bigger swells.
